Miss Cindi

When we first moved to Bakersfield and I found a new teaching job we knew that we would need to find someone to watch Nathan part time so Ben could have regular office hours at the church.  Up until this point Nathan was in Daddy's care full time.  Ben loved his time with Nathan as a baby but the older Nathan got the harder it was becoming to do two jobs at once.

When I went searching for childcare for Nathan I wasn't sure what to expect.  I toured some day care facilities but it didn't seem like the right fit for us.  I then started interviewing home day care providers.  Cindi was the second woman I interviewed.  I felt comfortable with her right away.  Her home was clean and organized.  The children in her care seemed happy and healthy.

Nathan started with Cindi two days a week when he was 9 months old.  This last year he started going four days a week.  There is no one I trust more with my kids.  Nathan is not an easy child to take care of.  He's stubborn and strong willed.  But he also loves big.  And he LOVES "Miss Cindi"!

Today was Nathan's last day in her care.  Next year he will start attending the preschool at our church four days a week and Silas will start going to Cindi's.  I will be forever grateful to this woman who has loved on our children like they were her own!

Don't mind the spit up all over my face!

Love when I capture (okay when Daddy captures) Silas' smile on camera!

Grandma George came to visit us this week!

Jumperoo

Silas got to try out the Jumperoo this week!  He only lasted a few minutes before he was ready to be done! Ha!

I spy some baby feet!

Matchy Matchy

I might be slightly addicted to buying coordinating clothes for my two boys.  I'm taking advantage while I still have a say in what they wear!

A Tale of 2 Chairs

Silas now has a personalized chair like Nathan thanks to Grandma!

My 2 boys!

Silas still has awhile before he grows into his!

How is it that this boy is so big?!

14 Weeks

Silas is our social butterfly.  You can't always tell in pictures but he always wants to be part of the action and will smile at pretty much anyone!  He also likes when the car is moving.  He will tell you pretty quick if we are stopped at a red light and he doesn't like it!

He is lifting his legs up like this all the time!

Another day.  A different bathrobe.

This sleeper is another gift from Silas' Birth Mom.  So cute!

This is what happens when I don't take the picture quick enough.

Silas loves his brother!  Look at that smile!

Adoption Day 2015

3 years ago today a Judge made Nathan's adoption official in court!  We love this little guy sooo much!

Starting his special day out with a donut!

I think he liked it!

I bought these shirts for Father's Day but decided to break them out early for Nathan's special day!  Aren't my boys handsome?!

1st Hoodie!

Mommy and her boys on Mother's Day.  I have decided it will be quite awhile before everyone is smiling and looking at the camera all at once!
