Today is a special day for my husband—it’s his first
Father’s Day! I can’t really explain how
it makes me feel to watch Ben and Nathan interact. Ben is already an amazing husband and to see
the love he has for me now being shared with Nathan fills my heart with
joy!
As I was texting with a close friend today who has also
adopted a child she reminded me that not only did our children’s birth mothers
choose to give life to their children when they placed them for adoption—but
they also chose to give their children Fathers!
Nathan’s birth mom had little to no information to provide about
Nathan’s Birth Dad. If she would have
chosen to raise Nathan she would most likely be doing it all by herself. (A feat I cannot even fathom—raising a son is
exhausting!) I find myself again so
thankful for the gift we have in Nathan—especially when I hear him giggle and
laugh with his Daddy!
