While Silas was in the hospital we tried to give Silas' birth family as much time as possible with Silas. If we were at the hospital you could normally find us in with them. They were very sweet to ask the nurses to give us a room of our own so we could have some time to ourselves with him as well.
This was the first time we were alone with him. We immediately unwrapped him to take in all of his features. He's wearing a "boxing glove" (aka a diaper) over his hand to keep him from messing with his IV.

Silas had to receive several doses of antibiotics while in the hospital as a precaution since his Birth Mom had a temperature when she was admitted. He received all of his antibiotics in the hospital nursery. We were allowed to sit with him while he received them.
